Humble beginnings
Born on a Dutch island of Curaçao, my story is one of resilience and transformation. Growing up with limited resources, alongside my parents, siblings, and a large extended family, life took a turn when a difficult divorce led my mother to immigrate with us to the Netherlands, a new world filled with new challenges.

Arriving in the Netherlands as a teenager was the start of a journey marked by struggles and transformations, encompassing faith, music, identity, confidence, and a profound loss that ultimately fueled my growth.

Today, I celebrate a fulfilling career in the luxury industry, a loving relationship, and a vibrant life in New York City. But most importantly, I celebrate uncovering my own potential, a discovery that has ignited my passion for empowering others to do the same.

What is Mayega?
Mayega (ma-YEH-ga) – "I've arrived!" – a powerful phrase in my Caribbean language, Papiamento. Mayega evokes feelings of pride and accomplishment of achieving a significant goal.
